What inspired you to become a Water Sommelière?

I wanted to change the world. I wanted people to understand that we have gone for centuries, believing we understood everything, and actually understanding very little. By changing the way, we think in process, imagine the other opportunities I would open up and solutions we could find is the human race. Water is the forefront of my passion, and therefore, at the forefront of every decision I make daily.

What is your superpower?

My Hair!

Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a Water Sommelière?

Every time I walk down the street or out and about and people greet you “Candice, my finest water sommelier!” And they explain how they now read labels, have made changes and appreciate water differently! That makes it all worth it!

Still or Sparkling?

Low or high TDS?

Salty or sweet?

What is your favorite water and why?

Zamzam. I’m not Muslim but the review created community between everybody and that was incredible to witness!

Please finish the sentence: Water for me is...

an opportunity to connect people together!

What do you believe is the future of the Water Sommelier profession?

Each of us is different however, I am focused on creating education that is fun and relative through every day channels that we use such as TikTok. Changing perceptions and understanding around water that we can learn, share , and propel the water industry forward, at an exponential rate - connecting people who can help other people in making greater water solutions possible.

How do you think valuing water contributes to a more sustainable future?

By valuing water, and seeing its role in our lives, we are able to shift the way we think about how we approach things when it comes to every day business , so whether you are a conservationist, whether you are a beverage manufacturer, each of these has a water, responsibility role, that each of us needs to understand, and when we do this we automatically create a more sustainable water focus community.

What else would you like to share with the community?

Education no longer exists in the classroom. We are able to learn and specialize from the environment around us, and it starts with water, right with this very conversation!

Conversation creates memory and community.

Candice, thank you for the interview!

Best regards
