What inspired you to become a Water Sommelier?

I am fascinated by water since little. I grew up drinking naturally carbonated mineral waters. Directly from their source. I used to swim in mineral waters. I used to heal with mineral water. I always had a special connection with the water. I always was an Aquaphile.

What is your superpower?

When I was younger, I thought that I can feel the people around me. Still having fun on improving this ´superpower´. My current superpower is to share the love for water. It is the love for life. It is the love for each other.

Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a Water Sommelier?

Yes, more than happy to share a few:

- When I was little, I use to cure/ speed up the recovery for many diseases by drinking naturally carbonated mineral waters. In most of the cases it worked very well. In a few instances, water was not enough.

- Nowadays, if I drink alcohol combined with the correct mineral water, it is impossible to have headaches or hangover. It is sad that sometimes we drink alcohol, we try also to drink a lot of water in the meantime, but if this water does not have life force supporting energy, the hangover will be present.

- During active Covid illness, for the first full week I couldn't eat at all and I was continuously thirsty.

I never drank so much water in my life. Water saved me one more time, and more than that, it gave me something more valuable than everything. It made me realise what we are. And what we need to follow. Actually that was the moment when I decided to quit a very successful career path and to level up my knowledge in a direction close to my heart. The Water Sommelier Diploma was the first of the many sommelier certifications I currently hold.

- At the end of water tastings/ presentations, I am asking the audience to share memorable experience related to water - you would be amazed of the power of water...and the wisdom behind this primordial element.

What is your favorite water and why?

My favourite water is the water that serves its magic purpose. Life force energy.

What do you believe is the future of the Water Sommelier profession?

I strongly believe our profession has a bright future, as some of the fellow water sommeliers are extremely passionate and active in so many different directions. Hopefully we will be able to share the love for water. Even if in most of the cases, we are ´´distracted´´ with other full time jobs to pay the bills.

How do you think valuing water contributes to a more sustainable future?

Valuing water is valuing life. Drinking water is like breathing. Focusing on the primordial elements should be the healthy norm. For us and for our beautiful living planet. Mother Earth. The Blue Planet.

What else would you like to share with the community?
