"What's the best mineral water in Dubai?"
People often ask me this question. To be honest, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The real answer is: It depends.
The best water depends on the situation. Depending on why you want to drink it, a different mineral water might be a better choice.
For examplel:
The type of water best suited for sports is often different from the type used in everyday life
If you have heartburn or digestive issues, water with a different mineral composition may help
I would choose a different type of water for making high-quality coffee than for making lemonade
A fine dinner often calls for a different type of water than a barbecue
There isn’t just one “best” water.
That’s why my short answer is always: The best water is the one that tastes best to you. If you like the taste of a particular water, you’ll usually drink more of it. Proper hydration is one of the most important factors for well-being.
People in Germany are familiar with the wide variety of natural mineral waters. There are around 500 different types, which vary significantly in origin, mineral content, and taste. In Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the selection is much smaller. Nevertheless, there are interesting differences here as well. You just need to know what to look for.
My advice is to do your own water tasting!
Don't rely on others' recommendations; try different mineral waters for yourself. Go to the supermarket and buy four to six different waters. Make sure they have different mineral composition. You can always find this information listed on the label.
Then, test the waters over a period of one to two days in different situations:
right after waking up
during or after exercise
with coffee
with a meal
in the afternoon
in the evening
etc.
Pay close attention to the following:
Which water leaves a pleasant mouthfeel?
Which water tastes the best?
Which water makes you feel especially good?
Don't just listen to your taste buds; listen to your body, too.
