What inspired you to become a Water Sommelière?

Passion and vocation...

What is your superpower?

That of distinguishing the taste of water...

Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a Water Sommelière?

The feedback I had from people who paired natural mineral waters with culinary dishes for the first time in a guided tasting.

Still or Sparkling?

Sparkling

Low or high TDS?

High TDS

Salty or sweet?

Salty

What is your favorite water and why?

Borsec, naturally carbonated because there is a memory of the water we drink in our early years that influences our later appreciation of the bottled mineral water we choose.

Please finish the sentence: Water for me is...

life itself!

What do you believe is the future of the Water Sommelier profession?

To create value in the natural or spring mineral water sector, using an educational and cultural path that will have to highlight both the differences between natural or spring mineral water and simple drinking water with the aim of promoting knowledge and appreciation of it as an element - food.

Consumers should be aware of the sensory diversity as well as the particular impact that water has on personal care and beauty by documenting the positive effects of proper hydration and health benefits.

It is possible to optimise water based on living conditions.

With this in mind, we can deepen our knowledge of the myriad facets of this indispensable food in our lives to provide all the elements useful for a responsible choice.

The precious sap (water), in the vision of a Water Sommelier, will be able to become an emotional product in all respects, becoming more and more part of a lifestyle.

How do you think valuing water contributes to a more sustainable future?

Sustainable Purity.

A choice of quality and responsibility towards the environment.

Let's remember that caring for the environment is not an option, but a duty we owe to the world we live in and to future generations.

What else would you like to share with the community?

I think it would be useful at community level to launch an information and education activity on the subject of natural mineral or spring waters, with the aim of promoting and valuing them as an integral part of our diet as a gastronomic good, providing operators and consumers with correct information on the water used during meals.

The aim is to discover the uniqueness of each mineral water and the commitment to strengthening a water culture.

Gabriela, thank you for the interview!
